Goals

Birth Works^® Goals:

• To provide information and support through the  Childbirth Education certification program in order to help women give birth normally and naturally in a peaceful and quiet atmosphere with privacy.

• To help expectant parents have more postiive birth experiences by being aware of individual and societal beliefs that lead to the routine use of medical interventions and high cesarean rates.

• To help express fears that may interfere with their upcoming births and to help them believe that the knowledge about how to give birth is already inside every woman.

• To help women understand that all birth experiences, regardless of outcome, give us the opportunity to transform ourselves in a positive way.

• To establish a community of support and referral network for people healing from past birth experiences and those preparing for future births.

• To support the training of doulas to help women in labor feel safe to let go and give birth.

• To ensure that every woman remembers her birth as one of the happiest times of her life, seeing birth as a significant life event, the effects of which are immeasurable.
